What you can expect in a day in the role: 

The Alteration Attendant is an essential part of our cleaning and property services team, assisting staff with well-fitted and comfortable uniforms. 

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for: 

• Altering staff uniforms, improving comfort and fit, including shortening pants/legs, taking in and letting out seams 

• Modifying and repairing uniforms, including tapering pant legs, removing pockets, performing repairs, replacing zippers, and buttons 

• Assisting with and perform uniform fittings 

• Maintaining the care and upkeep of sewing machines 

• Supporting laundry tasks when needed 

What you’ll bring to the role: 

Along with a great attitude and strong knowledge of alterations, you will also have: 

• Strong knowledge of fabrics, clothing design, and construction 

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills 

• Expert or highly experienced sewing skills 

• Strong attention to detail 

• The ability to communicate effectively and graciously
